Description

All of my Bookmarks have a collaged base. The collage master boards are created from leftover papers of other projects. Once the master boards were cut down to 6″ x 3″ (approx.) shapes I stencilled, stamped and added black splatters. Before cutting the master boards I used a brayer to spread gesso randomly across the collage. This pushes the collage back so the focal point can be seen easier.

This series has birds, or paper dolls as the focal point, and each bookmark has a quote added. I put an eyelet at the top of each bookmark and the fibre used is seam binding or sari silk.? Each bookmark has a charm attached to the fibre with a bulb pin.? If you are looking for tags as a gift or reading, ephemera for your project these Bookmark can be used as tags.
